House in the Wild joins the herd

We are happy to announce House in the Wild is joining the New African Territories team!

House in the Wild                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            “House in the Wild” is a private 12-14 bed lodge, in a unique location perched on the banks of the Mara River, tucked away on a 1000 acre private estate within the Enonkishu Conservancy on the edge of the Maasai Mara.
Surround yourself with the rich traditions of East African life, exclusive to “House in the Wild” and share an eternal sense of history and farming community, whilst having direct access to some of the world’s best wildlife viewing.
The “House in the Wild” and the “shamba” is a welcome retreat for a few days respite while still being “on safari”.

The Lodge

The main farmhouse and five cottages offer the warmth and rustic charm of another era, with all of the home comforts youcould ask for. Hand crafted furniture, naturally lit bathrooms with showers and massive bath tubs, huge comfy beds, with fluffy pillows and duvets, draped with mosquito nets, verandahs and views over the gardens or the Mara River. Outside, the gardens provide a wonderful sanctuary for afternoon tea or a quiet walk looking out for some of the 400 species of bird species found here.

The Original Cottage: This has one double room and twin room sharing a bathroom with a bath and an outside star shower.
Family River Cottage: One double with the option of additional 2 single beds for children at the rear of the room.
Warburgia Cottage: A double en suite with massive bath overlooking the river.
Marula Cottage: This cottage has two large double en-suite rooms with its’ own private lawn, verandah and lounge areas.
